Do you know what a dry heat is?

Today we are starting to build up the mileage. It isn’t anything I haven’t done before but dealing with the heat is a new thing for me. It is so dry that it actually feels okay when you start but once you get into it you start to realize that it is quite hot out. I did a little over 3 miles today and I think I will keep it there for the remainder of the week. Next week I want to add another lap which will take me up to 5 miles. I am thinking once I can get it there consistently then I am used to the heat. I think I need something to throw over my shoulder to carry my water with me because even though I’m not far from stopping somewhere to get some fluids if I needed them, I would prefer to have them with me. I don’t have much to talk about today unless we want to talk about farmer’s tans. I would like to say something about the dry heat though. Do you know what a dry heat is? HEAT!!!

  1. Denise says:

HOw long is it taking you to do 3 miles? Dry heat is still better than the humid tropics!! Keep up the good work, you have been through a lot this year and you are starting to look ahead! Good for you!!

  2. I’ve been keeping it pretty slow lately but it takes me less than an hour that is for sure.
